International runners can register for any of our race categories through our online registration platform. Early bird discounts are available for those who register in advance.

Visa Information

Most nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival at Wattay International Airport in Vientiane. Please check with your local Lao embassy for specific requirements.

Available for most nationalities. Valid for 30 days.

Accommodation

Vientiane offers a wide range of accommodation options from budget hostels to luxury hotels. We recommend booking early as rooms fill up quickly during race weekend.

Transportation

Getting around Vientiane is easy with various transportation options available.

By Air

Wattay International Airport (VTE) is just 4km from the city center. Direct flights available from Bangkok, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, and other regional hubs.

By Rail

The Laos-China Railway connects Vientiane to Kunming with stops at Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng.

Local Transport

Download the LOCA app for easy taxi hailing. Tuk-tuks and rental motorbikes are also widely available.

Currency

Lao Kip (LAK). Thai Baht and US Dollars widely accepted. ATMs available throughout the city.

Electricity

220V, 50Hz. Type A, B, C, E, and F plugs are used. Bring a universal adapter.

Language

Lao is the official language. English is spoken in tourist areas and hotels.

SIM Cards

Available at the airport and convenience stores. Lao Telecom, Unitel, and ETL are main providers.

Medical

Medical stations will be available along the race route. Travel insurance is highly recommended.

Time Zone

Indochina Time (ICT), UTC+7. No daylight saving time.
